I lived in West Kensington, just round the corner from Martin Naylor and Norman Stevens, also Ken Armitage. Martin would take me into college on the days he was teaching. The girl next door, Cary Humble, a theatre student, moved out and I used her room as a studio. The above, and other variations of string under tension were made just before I started to put my Degree show together.
