I started making boxes again, using bits of the maps as background, trying for a visual poetic and lyricism, a way I'd often worked in the past.

This shows the route we travelled from Liverpool, along the coast to Benclech on Angelsey. It took two days when we first started going in my Dad's Reliant Robin. The white anvils are meant to reference the anti landing blocks that covered most beaches, left over from the war. Small owl figure top left is judging the gorilla figure bottom right, yellow rods = sunshine, all pretty literal.
